maja glass anklet

These are recycled-glass Krobo beads. This style of bead is made for Soul of Somanya by Maja Stephen in the Krobo region of Ghana, West Africa. He uses traditional methods in producing the beads, grinding up the glass with a mortar and pestle, making his own oven and bead molds out of clay from a nearby village, and firing the beads with wood.

I simply made a chain of brass to hold them around your ankle!
