Botanical Photograph in Upcycled Frame

Here's a beautiful photograph in a unique upcycled frame. The image of a wild sego lily (also called a mariposa lily) is from "Found Flora," my series of botanical scanographs. The wood frame is made from a re-purposed kitchen cabinet door purchased at a Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

Looks great hung on a wall or placed on furniture with other items.

Image size is 6.25" x 9.25". Frame size is 12" x 15" (30cm x 38cm).

The image is printed by me on Epson Velvet Fine Art paper with archival pigment inks, and protected with a coating of archival varnish. It is attached to the frame with archival adhesive.

Also available as an unframed or traditionally framed print. Please contact me for details.

(Scanographs are cameraless photographs created on a digital flatbed scanner. I collect wild-growing plants during hikes, then arrange the plants on a modified scanner in my studio. Once the image is scanned and transferred to my computer, I use photographic software to adjust color, contrast, etc. Scanographs provide incredible detail, wonderful depth-of-field and luminous colors.)

10% of all my Etsy sales during April 2010 will be donated to Colorado Open Lands (www.coloradoopenlands.org), a land trust working to preserve Colorado's beautiful open spaces.
