DIY! recycled paper bowls
In my quest to recycle more of our household papers into functional objects, I started molding bowls out of paper pulp last year. To make things more interesting I lined the interiors of the bowls with copies of old road maps. The bowls were pretty popular, and I put together this video tutorial when I was approached by The Martha Stewart Show about possibly demo-ing the process on the show.
I didn't wind up on the show—probably a good thing, because—as evidenced by this video—I am incredibly camera shy, and throwing up on Martha in front of a live studio audience probably wouldn't have been very good for my crafting career. But rather than have the video go to waste I'm posting it here so you can give it a try. If anyone comes up with good results, please share them with me!
