These neckties are reclaimed from torn, damaged, and boring neckties of yore. Too wide, too weird, too wishy-washy... We take 'em all. The ties are selected for the feeling and colors of the fabrics, and matched up with scraps from our studio as well as scraps we've stolen from other dens of stitchery around town. The ties are each carefully opened up, taken apart, narrowed, straightened (or crookeded), appliqued and embroidered within an inch of their lives, and hand-seamed back together with loving care.

My husband, Julien, needs this tie. All of his ties are either stained, falling apart, or just plain ugly. This tie would look great on him and I know he would appreciate the fact that it's upcycled from other ties...maybe it would motivate him to donate his old ties to Medium Reality!

My family is doing a secret Santa this year, and I have to find something for my brother-in-law Art. He's a very hard guy to shop for but I think he would really like this tie. These are his colors and I think he would like the "Scraptastic" quality of this tie.

My fiance would love this tie. He just returned from a year abroad in South Korea and donated most of his clothing there before he returned to the U.S. So he is now tieless, and this one upcycled tie would go with so many different outfits!

That tie is awesome. My nephew, Taylor, put dress shirts and ties on his holiday list. That tie would be the most absolutely fantastic gift for him.

My dad! Definitely! He should donate all the ties he has now to Medium Reality so that they could make them into more scraptastic ties, because they are just the ones you described,

I would like to win this for my boyfriend Paul, who doesn't own a tie but whenever we go on dates says that he does not dress nice enough to take me out.
We are both into upcycling and shopping vintage. I know that he would love this tie!
