100% Recycled

I love hearing about new work from our members, especially when they've taken it upon themselves to find a new way to make their work more environmentally-friendly. Candy of Candied Fabrics emailed me this week to tell me about her new line of journals and planners. Over the past three months, Candy worked to source, develop and produce journal covers for a line of notebooks that are 100% recycled. The end result is her reusable fabric covers (with her awesome signature free-motion stitched designs) wrapping journals and planners from Ecojot, incredibly sustainable paper products.

I'm really glad that Candy pointed me to Ecojot—I think they are a great resource to know about! All of their products are made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper products, so no new trees are used to make their paper. Their paper is also acid-free and processed chlorine free and all inks & glues are vegetable based. Their paper mill is powered by biogas harnessed from a nearby landfill. All their protective packaging is corn-based and they try and use as much locally made raw material as possible.
